Food Growing

August 17 @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Free

Last September The Highland Council hosted a conversation on the growing trend of growing your own food. The pandemic encouraged us to consider our existing food systems and led to many people attempting to grow fruit and vegetables in gardens and allotments for the first time.

Last year’s event was such a success that we have been looking for an opportunity to host a follow-up event. We will be hosting an online discussion via Microsoft Teams about the many benefits that growing your own food can bring to the environment, to society and to individual wellbeing. We will also be joined by the Highland Good Food Partnership and Food Tank, who will take part in a panel discussion.
